Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learn:

  • Develop a comprehensive view of the enterprise SSD market specifically for components and wafer business – size, drivers, ecosystem, trends
  • You will be responsible for all stages of the product life cycle (conception, definition, development, release, and post-release activities) managing strategic planning, feature selection and tactical activities.
  • Understand key suppliers and their respective SWOT analysis, market attribute
  • Have a good technical grasp of each supplier’s offerings in the marketplace (technical collateral including data sheets, solution guides, cookbooks ) as well as public announcements (blogs, PR, roadmap announcements, industry participation)

Contribute:

  • Create and deliver technical content – blogs, tutorials, sample applications, presentations to enable sales and showcase WD enterprise wafer and component portfolio
  • Engage in outbound opportunities – channel, partner events, industry shows, webinars, customer meetings
  • High level scripting to develop and maintain demos

Key Attributes:

  • Have a good understanding of the enterprise datacenter market.
  • Have worked in customer facing technical roles.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and dig in – to understand workloads, storage architecture, key technology trends in the Datacenter

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineering, marketing, operations, finance and other departments to ensure product success and market penetration.

Portfolio Management: 

  • Oversee the entire enterprise component and wafer flash product portfolio, ensuring it meets current market demands and aligns with future technology trends. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.  MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on datacenter, enterprise or memory/storage products.
  • Strong desire to take ownership of the full product lifecycle
  • Proven track record of managing and launching successful enterprise products.
  • Deep understanding of flash memory technology

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market trends into actionable product strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience presenting to senior level audiences
  • This is an Individual contributor (IC) role. Any people management skills will be an added advantage

Compensation & Benefits Details

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Sandisk's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
