The Role


As the Strategic Sourcing Manager for our facilities and maintenance categories you will lead strategic procurement initiatives focused on maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) contracts across our data center portfolio. This role requires a unique blend of technical facilities understanding and strategic procurement expertise. You'll work closely with site operations teams to develop enterprise-wide procurement strategies while ensuring local maintenance needs are met.


Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide procurement strategies for facilities maintenance, including service contracts for critical equipment (generators, UPS systems, chillers, etc.)
  • Analyze current vendor landscapes across multiple locations to identify consolidation opportunities while maintaining or improving service levels
  • Manage complex contract negotiations with maintenance service providers and OEMs to optimize warranty coverage and service terms
  • Create and present business cases to executive leadership demonstrating cost savings and operational improvements
  • Establish standardized processes for maintenance contract management across all data center locations
  • Build collaborative relationships with site managers and operations teams to ensure procurement strategies meet technical requirements
  • Handle occasional corporate IT procurement needs, including software licensing and equipment purchases
  • Develop regional and/or national master service agreements where appropriate to leverage scale
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms


Required Skills
  • 5-7 years of procurement experience with a focus on facilities maintenance or MRO in technical environments
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple locations
  • Experience managing service contracts for critical infrastructure equipment (HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems)
  • Strong understanding of warranty management and maintenance program optimization
  • Proven track record in vendor consolidation and contract simplification
  • Experience creating compelling business cases for executive approval
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate with technical teams
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in cost modeling and financial analysis
  • Experience with multi-site contract administration and regional vendor management


Preferred Skills
  • Experience in data center or mission-critical facilities environments
  • Background in facilities management with large industrial, real estate companies
  • Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems in commercial facilities
  • Understanding of data center operations and infrastructure
  • Experience handling corporate IT procurement (software, hardware)
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and technologies


$80,000 - $110,000 a year
The typical base pay range for this role in Los Angeles is USD $80,000 - $110,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within Texas, and the base pay range for this role in that location is USD $70,000 - $100,000 per year.
