Data Science Internship

Simulmedia is looking for talented and motivated Data Science interns to join our team in Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine. This paid internship program provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced advertising technology industry. As a Data Science intern, you will work on developing and optimizing machine learning models, maintaining existing solutions, and conducting data analysis to drive insights for real-world applications.


Our company has offices in Kyiv and Lviv. The Data Science team is primarily based in Kyiv and works remotely, with occasional in-person team meetings in the office.

 

 

Duration

     3-6 months (May 2025 - October 2025)

     Part-time position (20 hours per week)

 

Location

     Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine

     Remote work with the option to visit the office

 

What You'll Do

      Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to extract meaningful insights

      Build, train, and evaluate Machine Learning models

      Maintain existing models

      Develop data pipelines and ensure efficient data processing

      Create analytical reports and visualize findings for stakeholders

      Collaborate with engineers and product teams to integrate models into production

Qualifications

      Strong knowledge of Python and core libraries for Data Analysis, Visualization, and Machine Learning (e.g., pandas, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, scikit-learn)

      Understanding of fundamental Machine Learning concepts: regression, classification, clustering, and artificial neural networks

      Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control

      Basic knowledge of higher mathematics and statistics

      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

      Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)

      Ability to work independently and in a team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

      Experience with Big Data analysis methodologies

      Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., S3, Athena, EMR)

      Hands-on experience with Tableau

      Knowledge of SQL and database querying
