Products for the PDF Tools AG brand target developers that need to process a vast amount of documents. SDKs and shell tools enable engineers to build and integrate document processing into their product. We make it easy for our customers to convert, compress, manipulate, enrich and sign PDF documents and build innovative products and solutions.

Your mission - should you choose to accept it:

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for widening the footprint of PDF Tools across the whole customer journey. You will drive the vision and strategy for the Core SDK team, build a roadmap, implement new integrations and features and deliver new products to our customers. You will also lead, together with the team's engineering manager, a cross-functional team of engineers, and designers.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Drive vision and product strategy for PDF Tools Core SDK offering

  • Conduct thorough qualitative, quantitative, and market research to identify opportunities for new features & integrations

  • Drive the definition of the Objectives & Key Results of your team

  • Translate product strategy into roadmaps, epics, and user stories

  • Perform the role of the product owner in your team

  • Collaborate with other PMs and teams within the document enablement domain

  • Work within the broader Product Management guild to build and optimize PDF Tools & Smallpdf's overall product strategy, implement and scale product development best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and a minimum of two years working as an engineer.

  • 3+ years of hands-on product management experience, preferably in working on products for developers (SDK or similar).

  • Experience building tools, infrastructure, or framework for developers.

  • Demonstrated ability to gather user requirements from many sources and build a compelling product vision.

  • Ability to manage stakeholders across multiple teams and drive parties with conflicting priorities to a decision.

  • Experience in leading product delivery from inception to launch and maintenance.

  • Excellent communicator with both teammates and stakeholders outside the team.

  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.
