Early Childhood Program Director

Description

St. Charles Borromeo Academy is seeking a full time Early Childhood Director for the 2025-2026 school year and will report to the pastor. This lead teaching position requires an individual who cares for the physical, social and emotional needs of each young child, while promoting and modeling the mission of the Catholic Church. This individual is in charge of planning and implementing activities that encourage spiritual and mental growth for this age group, along with evaluating each young scholar throughout the year to ensure proper development is taking place. Familiarization with Diocesan and school policies will guide the teacher’s decision making.

Requirements

  • An Early Childhood or education-related Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Twenty-four (24) months of responsible, supervised, full-time, paid experience working with children in a child care setting.
  • Trained in Protecting God's Children.
  • Ensure certification and training are up to date and the center facility comply with laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, including confidentiality, when working with administration, staff, parents and children, while promoting positive relationships and effectively communicating with others
  • Manage and set high behavior standards for the ECC Staff.
  • Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.
  • Manage and oversee budget and accounts to ensure the center remains profitable
  • Assist ECC teachers to prepare and implement effective lessons using Diocesan standards.
  • Being an active member of a faith community and being a model of the teaching of Jesus.
  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of a Classical, Catholic education while following the mission and vision of the Academy.
  • Collaborate with School Administration and Parish Leadership Team.
  • Familiarity with licensing and accreditation requirements.
