L&D Trainer

We have a new opening in our vibrant and friendly L&D team, the role is responsible for the design and delivery of learning and development programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge, ensuring organisational effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.  This will include but is not limited to induction, personal and professional effectiveness and operational skills.

Responsibilities include:


  • Deliver induction training to all new employees joining the bank, including role specific training.
  • Design, maintain and deliver a range of training courses on various topics, including but not limited to management, personal and professional skills, customer service skills.
  • Prepare learning materials that satisfy all learning styles and take into consideration any accessibility or learning needs.
  • Work with the existing Learning & Development team to drive a culture of continuous improvement within the bank, looking for and identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness of our training and encourage our employees to develop.
  • Build strong relationships with the People team and the wider organisation, in order to understand and respond to their training needs.
  • Work with subject matter experts across the bank to ensure the quality and accuracy of training content.
  • Track and record learning records to ensure employees remain compliant and their knowledge is up to date.

Experience of:

  • Instructional design: Proficiency in designing and developing engaging and effective training programmes
  • Training delivery: Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage diverse learning groups
  • Skills in using various training technology and platforms
  • Ability to adapt training delivery to different learning styles
  • Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of all relevant financial regulation, and the ability to train others on those regulations (preferred but not essential)
  • The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, managing your own time to meet multiple priorities and delivery dates
  • 25 days holiday (plus take your public holiday allowance whenever works best for you)
