We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Team Lead to drive innovation and operational excellence within our Digital PLatform team. This team plays a critical role in enabling customer-facing online experience for both Web and App, as well as supporting tools such as SalesForce. 

As the Team Lead, you will oversee a group of skilled engineers and work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing store technology solutions. You will lead the team in the design, development, and deployment of new capabilities, ensuring that the online customer experience align with business needs and industry best practices. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and support the evolving digital transformation of our retail ecosystem.

Job Description

As part of the Group Technology Solutions and Engineering team, you will report to the Head of Engineering, Architecture and Omni Channel Platforms and collaborate closely with fellow solution engineers and a wide range of business stakeholders. This role balances team leadership and cross-functional collaboration, where you’ll drive seamless solutions that enable the business to achieve its goals. 

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for digital platforms and technology solutions. 

  • Oversee the development, integration, and maintenance of key tech systems, including Web, App and SalesForce platforms. 

  • Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and ensure solutions align with operational goals. 

  • Champion best practices in software development, DevOps, and IT service management. 

  • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security. 

  • Stay up to date with emerging retail technology trends and drive innovation initiatives. 

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the team. 

 

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about finding robust, efficient solutions for complex business problems and can deliver those solutions with the level of maintainability required by a large organization. You should be capable of solving problems independently and possess a solid understanding of the technical environment in a large organization, including networking, security, change control processes, project delivery, and a strong grasp of programming concepts. 

You will bring the following to the role: 

  • 8+ years of experience in software development or technology leadership, with a focus on online retail technology. 

  • Proven experience managing or leading a technical team in a large-scale retail or enterprise environment. 

  • Strong understanding of online platforms, Application development and payment processing solutions. 

  • Understanding of integration technologies such as APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. 

  • Solid grasp of networking, security, and compliance standards in a retail environment. 

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset to tackle operational challenges. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

  • A passion for technology-driven innovation and process improvement. 

  • A willingness to share knowledge and contribute within a team. 

  • Resilience and openness to change.
