Private Banking Relationship Manager Associate

Overview

Entry-level position into Private Banking. The purpose of this job is to assist the Private Banking Department managing the “BEST” clients of the Bank, while developing the skills necessary to progress in this area.  Other purposes are to assist in client development, portfolio management, and to conduct special projects as required.  

Responsibilities

  • Work with Private Banking personnel on a day-to-day basis in order to learn the fundamentals of Private Banking, i.e. portfolio management, credit analysis & solutions, deposit services, and all non-bank solutions.
  • Begin process of obtaining business development (sales) skills through structured calling program and team dynamic to enhance the client experience.
  • Begin participation in community, professional, and trade organizations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of two (2) years banking experience in Management Development Program, credit analysis, retail or private banking
  • Basic knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of sales principles
  • Knowledge of Lending practices
  • General knowledge of banking products and services
  • Knowledge of credit analysis process
  • Understand basic investment strategies implemented by High net worth clients
  • Understand basic estate planning strategies implemented by High net worth clients
  • Understand basic insurance strategies implemented by High net worth clients
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • General working knowledge of PC operations to include word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use credit analysis skills in analyzing customer financial statements
  • Decision making, problem solving, and persuasion skills
  • Able to practice time management principals in order to prioritize workload
  • Customer contact and sales and service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously and to shift priorities of customers quickly
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter as well as within a team framework.
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Private Banking preferred
