Summary of Job Duties:

The Accounting Assistant III is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal related task, but will focus on verifying and processing monthly invoices for various vendors and maintaining records in Excel. Charge out invoices into FAMA’s Work order software. Respond to inquiries from Vendors, Customers, and Accounts Payable regarding invoices and making corrections as necessary; process PCard charges for payment and maintain purchase order files.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • At least four years of bookkeeping, basic accounting, billing, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, billing, etc.

  • Experience with Workday

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of database accounting and management principles

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations of assigned section

  • Knowledge of computers and software application programs

  • Knowledge of customer service techniques

  • Ability to record fiscal data and manipulate data to generate complex reports and documents

  • Ability to conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs e.g., Email and spreadsheets
