A leading online bookstore and market services for educational institutions in the United States is looking for a Middle QA Engineer.

The company's product is a full-service online solution that allows you to save significantly on textbooks and other learning materials, as well as give administrators and teachers control over the entire process. You'll be part of a close-knit team and work remotely from anywhere in the world.

Your tasks on the position:

  • Perform manual and automated testing of web applications with an emphasis on UI, API, and system integration
  • Develop, refine, and execute test plans and test cases, ensuring product quality
  • Collaborate with the team to test the client-server and micro-service architecture using technologies such as HTTP, JSON and REST API
  • Create and maintain automated scripts using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or Ghost Inspector
  • Use tools such as JIRA, TestRail, and basic SQL knowledge to track and verify test results

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a manual QA
  • Strong middle-level skill or higher
  • Understanding of the following technologies: HTTP, HTML, AJAX, JSON, REST APIs and client-server architecture, microservices architecture
  • Experience in complex integrated web applications UI and API testing
  • Basic knowledge of SQL. Higher is preferable.
  • Able to develop and refine test plans.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing
  • Russian C1+
  • English B2+

Will be a plus:

  • Experience with automated testing, understanding of CI/CD systems and more is desirable.
  • Experience with creating automation test scripts using any of the following tools: Cypress, Selenium, Ghost Inspector
  • Experience with JIRA, TestRail
  • Basic knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu command line)
  • Basic git knowledge
