Key Responsibilities include:
Derive system requirements and performing functional analysis.
Develop system architectures optimised against key performance and environmental requirements.
Manage system requirements baselines.
Participate in formal system design reviews.
Develop detailed designs from system requirements.
Transition designs into safe products through procurement and manufacture.
Conduct system integration of hardware, software and firmware.
Develop test plans, test procedures and test reports.
Conduct formal system qualification activities.
Develop product and design information.
Participate in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) activities to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Promulgate Ultra Maritime vision, strategies, goals and initiatives.
Uphold, safeguard and promote Ultra Maritime’s values.
Key Competency Requirements include:
Understanding of the whole project lifecycle, from bids and proposals through to in service support to inform Systems Engineering projects.
Experience using requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS), configuration management tools (e.g. Windchill) and enterprise resource planning tools (e.g. IFS).
Understanding of Ultra Maritime Australia’s Company Standard Procedures.
Understanding of the interface between Engineering and other areas of Ultra Maritime Australia.
Ability to multi-task across a range of engineering activities.
Proficiency in technical reporting with strong attention to detail.
Ability to use sound problem solving techniques to provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and professionally across functional teams to achieve goals.
Demonstrates behaviours that align with and promote company’s values.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Software Engineering (or equivalent).
At least 3 years of experience as an Engineer (various functions). Experience in Systems Engineering design and development, preferably within the field of Electronic Warfare and/or Sonar.
Experience in working within multi skilled engineering teams.
Required to maintain a security clearance.
