Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse – Clinic Lead provides supervision of clinical support staff for daily operations of his/her assigned outpatient clinic or floor. Ensures optimal patient flow and allocation of resources to meet demand for services with available staff.  The position works in collaboration with the Practice Manager and/or Healthcare Provider to implement, delegate and/or conduct training programs to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure effective patient care, including oversight for completion of competency checklists. 

 

• Manage daily clinical and administrative support staff services for the assigned clinic.• Manage clinic inventory and organization of supplies and sample medications. • Manage and implement all laboratory operations, resulting and reporting, within the assigned clinic.• Develop and participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities. • Manage the resolution and implementation of decisions/improvements as requested.• Manage the provision of quality patient care given at the assigned clinic; including maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice. • Administer medications, IV therapy, blood draws and laboratory testing and resulting.• Perform Point of Care testing. • Perform phone triage.

Qualifications

Education/Licensure:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing program.
  • Must have current/valid Licensed Practical Nurse license from the state licensing board.
  • Must have current healthcare provider CPR (Basic Life Support) certification.

Experience:

 

  • 3 – 5 years of practical nursing experience in clinic or acute hospital setting required.
  • 2 years supervisory-level experience required.
