With 765 employees 101 active medical staff and 21 Emergency Department beds Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital continually implements and upgrades its technology and recruits employees who understand the vital importance of kindness and compassion in the healing process.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Technician is a member of the patient care team who under the direction and/or supervision of professional personnel performs a variety of tasks and activities to meet patient and department needs. The ER Technician must manage multiple demands on his/her time to support the activity of the nursing staff facilitate timely flow of patients through the Emergency Department and to ensure that the department is stocked and ready to receive and treat patients at all times.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • One year recent acute care clinical experience or recent EMT experience
  • Current BLS healthcare provider (Authorized by the American Heart Association)
  • Computer skills 

Preferred:

  • EMT certification
