Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Big Data Platform Engineer (multiple positions) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

Design and implement end-to-end data solutions, ensuring reliability, security and efficiency.
Deploy and maintain large scale data engineering platform utilizing open-source components and optimizing data processing tasks.
Automate the deployment and scaling of infrastructure to facilitate efficient operations.
Establish a robust disaster recovery plan with regular backups and data replication to safeguard against data loss.
Implement strict security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
Provide comprehensive documentation and training resources for teams using the data engineering platform.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field and 2 years of experience as a software developer or in a related occupation, or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a software developer, or in a related occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:
Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: 1. Airflow, Hive, Kafka, and Spark; 2. Github and Maintenance of and building data pipelines; 3. Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure DataLake, Azure Eventhub, Kubernetes, Azure Synapse, Azure Virtual Network, Subnet; and 4. DevOps, Jenkins, Oracle Snowflake, PowerShell, and Terraform.

Teams may work from home and the office. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $163,966 - $176,100. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
