Job Description:

To plan, implement and perform Respiratory Care diagnostic and therapeutic regimes for the care of patients for whom services are indicated.

EDUCATION:

Associate's degree from AMA approved program for Respiratory Care.

Current ACLS, BLS

Licensure:

Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Vermont.

Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC within one year of hire date. 

Sign on bonus:

External candidates are eligible for a $5,000 or $10,000 sign-on bonus depending upon experience.  Bonus distributions are paid over 3 installments and are subject to applicable taxes.  Current employees of The University of Vermont Health Network are not eligible for this bonus. Additional terms and conditions apply.

Porter Medical Center is part of the UVM Health Network, a six-hospital network serving patients and their families in northern New York and Vermont.  It is a 25 bed hospital where you will know most of the employees.  The Respiratory Therapy team has diverse job responsibilities when it comes to patient care, including helping new-borns to seniors. Porter is located in a small college town that is family friendly and close to many activities: the arts, music performances, restaurants, National Forest, downhill and cross country ski centers and a 17 mile recreational loop around town.  The location is close to Burlington with access to an International Airport for ease of travel. Our employees work together to achieve the highest standards in providing top quality health care to our community.
