Project Manager

We are on the hunt for a skilled Construction Project Manager located in or around Decatur, IL, who is ready to take the reins and steer a diverse array of concrete restoration projects from conception to completion for our Decatur Division. In this role, you will orchestrate and monitor construction processes, ensuring that each project is executed efficiently and meets deadlines. The ideal Construction Project Manager will possess a comprehensive understanding of various construction methodologies and procedures, along with the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team towards exceptional outcomes. We are searching for someone with a sharp analytical mindset and outstanding organizational abilities. Your mission will be to ensure that every project is completed punctually, aligns with specifications, and stays within budgetary limits.

Responsibilities

  • Managing self-performed complex repair and restoration projects
  • Preparing contracts and negotiating revisions
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Creating and coordinating schedules in conjunction with the field leadership teams.
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Procure equipment and materials per project needs
  • Deliver effective leadership and oversight to project teams and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Must reside in or around the Decatur, IL area or be willing to relocate
  • 5+ years of proven experience as construction project manager - preferably in the concrete or concrete repair industry
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil / Structural Engineering or other related discipline
  • Estimating experience will be an asset
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with strong leadership abilities
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
