ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, put away, repairs/refurbishment, and preloading of furniture and accessories
  • Maintain high level of inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and local fire and safety regulations
  • Create a culture of safety by administering and participating in weekly safety meetings and coaching warehouse staff on these topics
  • Establish and implement short and long term departmental goals (KPIs), objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement through work process reviews and employee engagement
  • Manage warehouse budget by optimizing costs without compromising quality
  • Manage warehouse equipment and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and safe performance
  • Oversee the employee life cycle by collaborating with HR for recruitment and onboarding to meet adequate staffing levels to satisfy business needs
  • Direct and oversee the comprehensive training of warehouse personnel in all operational procedures, ensuring effective cross-training to maintain flexibility and coverage across all roles
  • Participate in labor planning and scheduling strategies to ensure optimal workforce allocation
  • Drive departmental initiatives to promote productivity and high-quality customer service by reporting on & utilizing key metrics to track and measure performance
  • Implement new concepts and strategies to enhance productivity and increase efficiency
  • Offer timely and constructive feedback to enhance employee performance by conducting regularly scheduled performance reviews
  • Responsible for the reduction in costs through efficient and effective processes, procedures and leadership

  • Minimum of five years of warehouse experience in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, database management, spreadsheet creation, email, and internet
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and leadership skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • The ability to oversee a team of 15-20 hourly employees
  • Able to work both extended periods on the warehouse floor or sitting at a desk in an office setting
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

This is an in-person position located in Hayward, CA 94545.

Compensation for this position is $80,000 - $95,000.
