Job Description

About the Role:

The Release/Devops Engineer will be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of the release processes for our CRM and non-CRM systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical skills who can develop and implement release management strategies that align with our business objectives. This role involves managing the bi-weekly release of CRM product features to the business. The individual will oversee the planning, execution, and management of release activities for the CRM and non-CRM systems. The position demands robust technical abilities to enhance and streamline the release management and release automation processes.

Eseential Functions:

  • Manages, plans, and coordinates software builds and release cycles.
  • Develops and maintains version control systems, code repositories, and build scripts.
  • Works with software development team to integrate new features into the release pipeline.
  • Ensures release quality and integrity through validation processes.
  • Troubleshoots issues arising during build, installation, or post-release process.
  • Documents all processes and maintains software and application version logs.
  • Collaborates with other teams to streamline and automate the release process.
  • Keeps all software updated with the latest version.
  • Manages risks and resolves issues affecting release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Manages all environments including development, testing, staging, and production.
  • Continually working on improvements to the release and environment management process, incorporating feedback from all stakeholders.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate: 0.5 - 1.5 years of work experience
  • Proven experience in DevOps/release management, software development, or system administration.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and release management is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, continuous integration, and delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git, build tools like Jenkins, Maven and relevant DevOps tools like Kubernetes, Mirantis, etc,.
  • Proficiency in security and quality integrated tools like Checkmarx, SonarQube and SonaType etc.,
  • Experience in Lens is preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Power Shell, Groovy or Perl.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms like Salesforce, MS Dynamics and Azure.
