Position Summary...

We are seeking a strategic and visionary Group Director of Product to lead our product management organization within the E-commerce division. This senior leadership role will be responsible for shaping the product strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and driving the execution of initiatives that enhance the digital commerce experience. You will work closely with business leaders, engineering, design, and data teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet both customer and business needs.

What you'll do...

About Team: Join Walmart’s eCommerce Product Management team that shapes how millions of customers shop online. We operate at a massive scale, driving growth across core verticals such as grocery, general merchandise, and emerging digital experiences. Our team blends strategic thinking with execution, collaborating across engineering, data science, design, and operations to deliver seamless customer journeys. We test and learn quickly, iterating on features to enhance engagement and efficiency. By uniting our online and in-store expertise, we create a connected ecosystem that supports Walmart’s mission to help customers save money and live better.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define eCommerce Strategy: Align the product vision with business objectives, identifying new opportunities to expand and improve the customer experience.

•  Lead Product Roadmaps: Oversee multiple high-impact product initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and cross-functional alignment.

•  Mentor Product Managers: Coach and develop a growing team, setting performance goals and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

•  Leverage Data and Insights: Track product metrics and customer behavior to fine-tune features and identify growth opportunities.

•  Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, analytics, UX, and marketing partners to prioritize development, optimize resources, and deliver measurable value.

•  Report and Communicate: Present product updates to senior leadership, sharing clear progress, challenges, and next steps.

What You’ll Bring:

•  Product Management Expertise: Proven experience leading eCommerce product portfolios, including strategy, roadmap development, and product lifecycle management.

•  Team Leadership: Demonstrated success in building and mentoring high-performing product teams, setting clear objectives, and driving engagement.

•  Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to apply analytics to optimize products, improve customer satisfaction, and guide decision-making.

•  Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working with diverse teams, facilitating open communication, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

•  Strategic Vision and Execution: Skilled at balancing big-picture goals with day-to-day priorities, maintaining focus under tight deadlines.

•  Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with experience presenting complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences alike.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00-$370,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 15 years’ experience in product management. Option 2: 17 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Preferred Qualifications...

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related area and 14 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
