Job Description

As a staff software engineer in our backend engineering team, your role will be pivotal in constructing a robust, scalable cloud-native platform as part of our mission to revolutionize service ecosystems. You will be responsible for leading and delivering innovative solutions, ensuring our members enjoy maximum value and an optimal experience.

What you'll do:

1. Lead the design and development of our robust, scalable cloud-native platform, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
2. Spearhead innovative architectural solutions to complex technical challenges, driving the success of our next-generation smart service ecosystem.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and partners to understand requirements and translate them into effective architectural designs.
4. Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continual learning and improvement.
5. Stay on top of the latest industry trends and technologies, making recommendations for enhancements to our systems and practices.

1. Exceptional technical skills in backend engineering, with a deep understanding of cloud-native event driven platform development, design and architecture.
2. Strong tech leadership abilities, with experience guiding teams, executing large tech modernization projects and driving technical complex initiatives to successful completion.
3. Excellent problem solving capabilities, with the ability to design innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
4. Highly collaborative, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand and translate requirements.

Live Better U is a company paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
