Position Summary...

We are looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join Finance retail enablement Accounts payable Engineering team. This hands-on role requires exceptional coding skills, a passion for technology and engineering excellence, and the ability to guide and mentor a large team of engineers. You will play a pivotal role in defining and maintaining our technical architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements.

About the Team:

Accounts Payable Post-Match Operational Services team is dedicated to building world-class solutions that streamline the accounts payable post-match process. We focus on automating supplier dispute resolution, enabling self-service tools, processing invoice exceptions, and delivering insightful reporting. By leveraging automation, system integration, and data-driven enhancements, we aim to reduce average exception handling time and drive operational efficiency across the organization.

What you'll do...

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain the back end applications using Java, front-end application using React JS, ensuring a high-quality user interface for finance operation users
  • Integrate the application with various Walmart systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality
  • Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to define and implement innovative solutions that meet user needs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in front-end development, ensuring code quality and maintaining high standards throughout the development process.


What you'll bring:

Strong Backend Knowledge:

Proficiency in Java and experience with backend technologies.

Solid understanding of API design and microservices architecture.

Knowledge of React JS:

Understanding and experience in building front-end applications using React JS.

Ability to design and implement user interfaces that are both functional and intuitive.

Integration Skills:

Proven ability to integrate applications with multiple systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.

Experience with relational databases and document DBs.

Cloud Infrastructure Experience:

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure.

Experience deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.

Leadership and Collaboration:

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, capable of mentoring junior engineers and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
