Senior Copywriter

THE ROLE

We Are Social is looking for a culture-hungry Senior Copywriter who wants to make work that people will love. To do the job well, you’ll need a good sense of social media craft and a desire to get your hands dirty. We are seeking someone who lives in the space between pop culture/entertainment/fashion/music.

What matters is your deep understanding of what resonates with social audiences. This role is energetic, innovative and forward-thinking. Alongside engaging with communities, you’ll guide brands by staying ahead of social trends and cultural moments. In return, you’ll join a global agency dedicated to generating buzzworthy ideas for some of the world’s leading brands. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • CREATIVE: Concept, write and create strong, compelling copy that resonates with target audiences. Understand the structure of a brand’s identity—how the visual and verbal executions come together to create a holistic brand experience. Be a creative spokesperson for projects to ensure that the creative integrity of the work stays intact. Contribute to new business activities, help outline and write pitch decks.
  • STORYTELLING: Be responsible for sound, strategic thinking for integrated campaign work 
  • COMMUNICATION: Clearly articulate ideas to colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
  • Present effectively to clients and agency teams
  • Contribute to new business activities, help outline and write pitch decks
  • SOCIAL LITERACY Identifying trends and opportunities as they emerge in social that stay true to our brands. Have a genuine interest in, and awareness of, the creative industry, including groundbreaking ideas, emerging technologies
  • COLLABORATION: Work collaboratively with a large team of creatives from ideation to execution – helping to ensure ideas are created and brought to life faithfully while taking direction & feedback from leads. 
  • WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT: Manage multiple priorities and assignments. Execute with quick turnaround times for real time moments, capture trending moments, to deliver high quality work, on-time and with accuracy.

SALARY RANGE

$70,000-$200,000 annually

  • 5+ years of agency experience & a portfolio of live & spec work
  • A robust knowledge of advertising fundamentals, including brand development, strategy, storytelling, design, new/emerging platforms and technologies
  • Achieved full command of the creative process- you know how to bring an idea along from a kernel to a campaign, and sell it to clients while staying on brief
