We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on a project in the banking sector.

You will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems. Our client is an Irish company that offers different products such as wealth management, capital markets, and real estate. 


We are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail.


What you will do: 


- Work in close coordination with our business users, vendors, and other stakeholders to craft solutions to business problems considering functional and non-functional requirements. 

- Develop technical solutions that are robust, secure, and easily maintainable, in line with development standards and best practices. 

- Liaise with the test team and all project stakeholders to ensure solutions are fully tested. Creation and execution of automated test scripts wherever possible. 

- Support production systems, resolving issues within SLA, and providing regular and timely updates to users and line managers as to the status of issues, escalating issues as required. Ensuring system documentation is updated as required. 

- Regular communication with the team on project progress, issues, and risks.

- Contribute to the team with the recent technology trends. 

- Contribute to overall department goals and objectives. 


What you will bring:

 

- 5+ years’ experience using client-side JavaScript-based technology with experience using AngularJS and Angular2+ frameworks. 

- Skilled in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, Bootstrap framework & CSS.

- Strong working knowledge of front-end techs such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 

- Experience with modern browser technologies and JSON over REST-based data exchange. 

- Experience designing secure web applications with specific experience in charting in JavaScript. 

- Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment.

- Expertise in building complex layouts with CSS and HTML and modern front-end tooling. 

- Experience investigating and improving front-end performance.

- Experience with IDE and the GIT-based source control tools. 

- Experience working within a recognized software development lifecycle (Agile). 

- Experience with server-side technologies such as Java is highly desirable.

- Experience with NPM, and SASS is highly desirable. 

- Experience with React is highly desirable. 

- Experience developing single-page applications is highly desirable.

- Experience in Mobile App technologies is highly desirable. 

- Experience with Thymeleaf is desirable.

- Demonstrated experience in developing software according to technical designs. 

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in cross-functional project teams. 

- An ability to work under pressure, prioritize workloads, and achieve critical deadlines.
