Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is a 206-bed hospital, centrally located in the Hampton Roads region in Norfolk, VA. The CHKD Health System has convenient locations stretching north to the Middle Peninsula, west to Williamsburg, as far east as the Eastern Shore and as far south as Elizabeth City, N.C.

With 18 pediatric practices, we have offices in every corner of our region and our CHKD pediatricians have immediate access to the full range of special pediatric services. Just as important, our CHKD pediatricians share a commitment to quality, excellence and child-centered care and have met stringent requirements set by national certification organizations.

Through our hospital, outpatient clinics and practices, CHKD Health System gives you access to almost 300 pediatricians, specialists and surgeons specially trained in treating the unique needs of young patients.  We specialize in the care of infants, children and adolescents, from birth through 21 years.

CHKD is Lighting the Way to better mental health for our children by building a 14-story, $224 million mental health hospital and outpatient center for children on our Norfolk campus.  This extraordinary facility will open in 2022 with 60 private patient rooms will serve as the centerpiece of a comprehensive plan to address our children's mental health needs. The new facility will stand out among the nation's top pediatric mental health hospitals for its thoughtful patient and family-centered design, evidence-based treatments, academic training program, and clinical research to guide innovation.

CHKD's 14-story facility will transform mental health care for young people in our region and beyond. From the light-filled atrium to the thoughtful design of our private patient rooms, the new building will provide an welcoming atmosphere and treatment environment for preschool through high school-aged children.
