About Us

Our company’s founder and CEO, Josh Meyerowitz, started SupplyHouse.com in 2004 by combining his knowledge and experience in the plumbing and HVAC industry with the belief that the internet would transform the trades.

Meyerowitz’s family has been a part of the plumbing and HVAC industry since his great grandfather started a plumbing and HVAC business in 1917. Now, over 100 years later, his great grandfather’s business is still going strong, and Meyerowitz continues his family’s work in the trades with his own business – SupplyHouse.com.

Our Core Values

At SupplyHouse.com, our company culture has always been an integral part of who we are. Check out our core values to see what's important in our House.

GRIT - We’ve been lean and entrepreneurial since day one. We have the passion and confidence to approach challenges head-on and never pass the buck. We relentlessly seek opportunities to grow and aim to improve every day.

Generosity - We're quick to share our time, ideas, and successes - whether with our teammates or our community. From cleaning up the grounds of treatment facilities to hosting events for charities and our mentorship program in our local school district, helping others is a fundamental part of our journey.

Respect - You'll never attend a meeting where your opinion isn't sought after. We welcome and encourage contributions from everyone and work hard to maintain an environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas.

Innovation - We believe if you follow everyone else, you end up in the same place as everyone else. That’s why we love pushing the envelope. We’re excited by new ideas and always listen to team members and customers to help us move forward.

Teamwork - Working collaboratively is vital to our success. Everyone here plays an important role in asking questions and bouncing ideas off one another to find more effective solutions and make more well-informed decisions.

Core Values Weeks

Each summer, we make a special effort to live up to our core values by setting aside weeks dedicated to each one. During our core values weeks, we participate in community outreach, in-office team building, and the GRIT games!

Teams

Collaboration drives us forward and allows us to accomplish more than we could working alone. The goal of every team is to let creative and diverse minds come together to solve problems, generate new ideas, and grow both professionally and personally.

People & Culture

Our People & Culture teams, also known as our Human Resources department, have responsibilities ranging from processing weekly payroll and employee benefits to ensuring everyone feels welcome, appreciated, and heard. Driven by a people-first mentality, HR strives to make both the physical and virtual office environments fun, productive, and dynamic. HR also plays a pivotal role in filling roles with high-quality candidates and training and developing new hires as we continue to experience rapid growth and expand into new territories.

Marketing

Our Marketing team is responsible for growing brand awareness, driving new customer acquisition and retention, and increasing revenue. Individuals on the Marketing team engage in a range of activities, including the creation of innovative website and video content, communicating with our current and future customers on social media and email channels, managing and analyzing advertising platform performance, and designing an engaging customer experience on our website and app.

Finance & Accounting

Our Finance & Accounting teams are responsible for paying our vendors on time and for providing thorough, out-of-the-box analytic reports that ultimately help determine the company’s trajectory.

IT & Engineering

At the heart of any online operation is the IT team. Responsible for front and back-end development, quality assurance, and system and network engineering, the IT team keeps our website and app running smoothly and ensures our customers have a seamless ordering experience and ensures customers a seamless ordering process.

Customer Service

Our Customer Service team is responsible for making our motto – Real People, Real Service – a reality. Our phone, product support, task and training teams, and live chat teams provide prompt and professional service to customers from coast to coast.

Business Operations

Our “BizOps” team manages a wide-range of analytical and technical projects across the company, and works hard to continuously seek out new potential areas for enterprise level improvements that impact our customers and the business.

Warehouse Operations

As you might expect, our Warehouse Operations team oversees the day-to-day operational functions of the company. Their involvement includes overseeing warehouse efficiency, conducting building maintenance, customer service, IT, and team lead training.

Purchasing

Our Purchasing team works with vendors and forecasters to place inventory orders across 4 warehouse locations. They also work closely with the warehouses to ensure issues are rectified in a timely manner and that customers are kept up to date with any back-ordered material.

We Give Back

Charitable Drives

We hold charitable drives throughout the year that allow us to give back to those in need of a helping hand. We participated in the Long Island Cares Annual School Supply Drive to help local parents send their children to school with all the essentials and collected over 300 items. In October, we celebrated raising awareness for breast cancer and prostate cancer with a variety of events from dressing up in pink/blue to participating in a walk around the building to raise money for the ACS.

Local Partnerships

We make it a point to partner with organizations that share our commitment to our local communities. Once a year, the entire company volunteers at Madonna Heights, a campus-based residence program designed to help vulnerable young girls and families. Volunteers paint, garden, and clean throughout the entire campus. We also partnered with School Success Stores in Columbus to provide local students with classroom essentials.

Giving Back Committee

The Giving Back Committee is made up entirely of employees who share a passion for charitable outreach. The committee is voluntary, and they constantly research organizations we can donate to and think of new ways we can get involved.
