Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

10x Genomics is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain their central data and business intelligence platform. They seek someone with experience in data engineering, backend technologies, and cloud infrastructure.

Skills

Strong SQL experience
Backend development skills (Python, GraphQL, Postgres, Go)
Data engineering expertise with a focus on data warehousing and modeling
Cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS, GCP)

Responsibilities

Design and build data infrastructure for various business intelligence needs
Evaluate and implement data models in collaboration with data scientists and business analysts
Mentor business teams in creating advanced visualizations and dashboards
Implement software engineering best practices like version control and automated testing
Develop robust ETL/ELT processes for multiple data sources

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or related field
