We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Digital Marketing to lead our digital performance marketing team. This person leads the creation and execution of digital marketing strategies to drive ARR growth and achieve pipeline goals in the B2C and B2B business. They are accountable for digital demand generation and performance results end-to-end across the buyer journey from first touch at the top of the funnel to conversion to paid accounts.


The Director of Digital Marketing is responsible for delivering stellar results in each of the following channels: paid ads, search (SEM), affiliate, ABM, audio, programmatic, paid social programs, and content syndication. The ideal candidate has a strong background in digital acquisition/expansion marketing, entering new international markets, launching digital ABM programs, exceptional communication skills, and strong analytical skills, using data to drive strategic decisions.


This leader's primary measure of success is ARR growth from self-service and sales pipeline generation across SMB’s, Mid-Market and Enterprise segments in North America, EMEA and APAC.  They are responsible for meeting quarterly, and yearly forecasts while managing an eight figure budget to ensure efficient spend. Your expertise in digital marketing and leadership skills will play a pivotal role in achieving our organizational goals and creating a well-functioning demand generation machine. 


The Director of Digital Marketing will manage a high performing team of digital marketers and work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our brand awareness, drive ABM campaigns within our target consumer personas on a global scale, increase online traffic, and maximize conversion rates. 


This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.


What we're looking for:
  • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on paid search, SEM and ABM, plus 4+ years of management experience
  • 6+ years of B2B/B2C experience, 2+ years of cyber security experience
  • Experience managing agencies to drive accountability and top-notch performance
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Expertise in utilizing digital marketing tools, analytics platforms. Experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics and Looker is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to derive insights from complex data sets, with great written and verbal communication skills to present to executive audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful digital marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey digital marketing strategies and results to stakeholders at all levels
  • Manage KPIs, track campaign performance, and reporting and delivering to Executive teams
  • 4+ years of experience managing an 8 figure marketing budgets
  • Strong knowledge of digital platforms and how to leverage software to drive optimizations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Expertise in both proven and cutting edge methods for driving growth in market leading consumer solutions
  • Expert-level analytical skills, with experience using data to inform product decisions and drive growth. Expertise with A/B testing, and other experimentation methods
  • Passion for creating exceptional high-performing user experiences and delivering business growth
  • Growth mindset and industry leader; Continuously tracking industry trends and benchmarks, and learning from experimentation and the market at large
  • Strong track record of leadership development of a high-performing and engaged team along with effective collaboration across teams


What you can expect:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive demand strategies and digital marketing activations aligned with organizational goals
  • Optimize landing pages, registration forms, and CTA’s to maximize and increase conversions and increase rates through the digital marketing funnel
  • Make data-driven decision to continuously optimize across channels for best performance
  • Develop digital marketing strategies to enter international markets, paid strategies 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of creating, and executing international campaign strategies to drive brand awareness and demand generation
  • Stay ahead of the game by knowing the latest industry trends and cutting-edge digital channels to unlock new avenues for growth and innovation
  • Create digital marketing GTM strategies that meet the goals of our SMB,Mid-Market, Enterprise and B2C users by collaborating with content, enterprise, growth and technology teams
  • Accountable for digital demand generation and performance results end-to-end across the buyer journey from first touch at the top of the funnel to paid accounts
  • Design and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns using an optimal media mix of channels to reach our goals in targeting personas at the right time in the right channel with engaging messaging and a compelling hook. 
  • Work cross functionally with the Product and Technology Engineering teams to encourage experimentation, testing and be a commanding voice in our digital customer experience
  • Leverage data-driven insights to drive annual planning, monthly business reviews, and continuous optimization of growth levers and business as usual 
  • Manage and develop a team of driven, highly engaged individuals


USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $190,000 USD and $256,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.


Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $173,000 CAD and $233,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
