United Talent Staffing is currently hiring 1st Shift Senior Fabricator Associates in Powder Springs, GA!
Position Summary:
The senior fabricator will be responsible for fabricating custom millwork pieces and working alongside team of fabricators. This position requires extensive knowledge of millwork fabrication techniques and materials, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Additionally, they verify the correct quantities of components parts and quality checking completed items, manage parts inventory, and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products and structures.
Essential Functions (Other duties as assigned):
Fabricate and follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
Work alongside a team of fabricators, and occasionally assigning tasks and providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure that millwork components meet quality standards.
Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and supplies needed for the assembly process.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication, such as material defects or design discrepancies.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Test finished products for defects.
Maintain the tools used to create products.
Train and mentor junior fabricators to ensure that they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
Other duties as assigned.
Pay & Shift:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00PM
Pay starts at $17.00 an hour or more, based on experience
Education and Required Skills:
High school diploma or GED required.
5+ years of experience in millwork fabrication
Extensive knowledge of millwork fabrication techniques and materials, including solid wood, veneer, laminates, and plastics.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their goals.
