2023 Data Operations Fall Intern - St. Louis, MO

Position Summary:

UHY is seeking a driven entry-level Data Operations Analyst to join a team responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting client data. The analyst will work independently and directly with Managing Partners to increase efficiency and develop process improvements throughout a variety of client accounts and special projects.

The selected candidate will gain great experience:

Working with staff and management of all levels
Contributing to various teams and supporting efficiencies
Enhancing and polishing Excel skills while learning other systems and improving technical skills

Tasks:

Prepare reports from client databases that identify relevant data and serve as summary information to auditors
Identify pertinent insights and compile analytical reports for engagement teams to deliver to client management
Utilize IDEA and Excel-based analytic tools to analyze and interpret data in multiple formats in order to deliver reports to engagement teams
Drive efficiency and process improvement where possible
Support other firm departments with analytical projects as needed, including Litigation, Valuation, and Tax
Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct

Skills:

Strong knowledge of Excel, experience with Microsoft VBA a plus
Ability to work and learn independently
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
Capable of learning quickly and handling ambiguity
Ability to complete projects timely and accurately
Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Accounting/GAAP knowledge
Excellent communication skills
