The Impact You'll Make in this Role As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Developing automation tools and scripts with a heavy focus on Ansible whenever possible Communicating effectively between application teams and upper levels of support Creating tickets / documentation using the Atlassian suite of tools Building simple to intermediate queries in Kibana to troubleshoot on-going client issues Be mentally nimble and draw conclusions based on knowledge of multiple applications Having the willingness to rotate with on-call responsibilities with production event Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and six (6) years of experience in the Server Administration field Two (2) years of experience with Linux command line experience, starting-restarting-stopping services, checking logs, and editing config files Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience with Ansible / Docker / Kafka Database experience, PostgreSQL / MySQL / Cassandra Experience with monitoring tools (i.e Nagios / Cloudwatch / Opsgenie / Grafana) Travel: Occasional travel may be required Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or HIS office Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
