AbbVie is looking for a talented scientist with strong expertise in the biophysical characterization of peptides to join our team in Lake County, Illinois. This scientist, using NMR spectroscopy, computational methods, and other biophysical tools, will play a central role in the discovery and advancement of peptide-based therapeutics across a variety of disease areas. As an integral member of our team, you will drive projects and collaborate across various functions within our Discovery organization. Initial efforts will involve the development of robust workflows aimed at conformational evaluation of peptides, both free in solution, and when bound to a target protein. Success in this position requires a solid foundation in NMR spectroscopy and related computational methods, strong collaborative skills, and excellent communication skills. This role will require a high level of technical proficiency combined with a proactive approach to solving key problems and answering key questions related to peptide-based drug discovery.
