Principal Gameplay Animator

Absurd Ventures is seeking a Principal Gameplay Animator to create high-quality character and creature animations. This role is crucial for enhancing the player's experience and sets the animation standards for the company.

Skills

Proficiency in Maya and animation tools.
Strong understanding of anatomy and motion.
Experience in keyframe and motion capture techniques.
Experience with UE5.

Responsibilities

Set the standard for all character, creature, and object animations.
Collaborate with the Animation Director on the animation style and direction.
Oversee the rigging process and ensure rigs are optimized.
Work with gameplay and cinematics teams for seamless integration.
Provide feedback and mentorship to animators.
Ensure animations meet performance and memory constraints.
Stay updated with industry trends in animation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or related field.
