CONTEXT OF THE JOB:
The University of Delaware invites applications for the position of Academic Program Coordinator, Student Support Services Program. The Center for Academic Success assists the University of Delaware with the retention of students through its collection of academic support programs, services and activities. The Student Support Services Program (SSSP) within the Center for Academic Success is a TRIO program funded by the U.S. Department of Education that provides academic assistance, personal support, cultural enrichment, and individual support for eligible undergraduate students at the University of Delaware. The primary objectives of SSSP are to assist participants academically, to increase their persistence in college, and ultimately to graduate from the University with a baccalaureate degree. Under the general direction of the Academic Program Manager, the Academic Program Coordinator assists in the identification and selection of SSSP participants, provides a full range of general counseling/mentoring activities and acts as an advocate for students having difficulties
