In compliance with applicable State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 vaccine requirement are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption. Requests for medical exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved medical exemption is required to start work.

Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster two months after completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19. Because vaccine-induced immunity can wane over time, MSK continues to strongly urge all staff to get a COVID-19 booster as soon as they become eligible to maintain their protective immunity for a longer period.

Job Description:

We are seeking an Access Assistant to join the team. Are you passionate about providing an excellent customer service environment? Do you love interacting with patients and leadership? Looking for a role to expand your administrative career in a healthcare setting? We want you to join an administrative and clinical team to assist in the transfer of information and resolution of all new visit requests for our department!

You Will:

Receive, sort, and log all incoming information pertaining to patient referrals via multiple fax lines/mailboxes
Assign appointment requests to the appropriate staff member and investigate requests in order to bring resolution
Maintains files of PRS/PAS phone activity reports in a neat, organized manner
Maintains Department activity reports and reference information
Answer calls and uses appropriate telephone techniques for acquiring, disseminating, and distributing caller information

You Are:

A good decision-maker
Willing to take action and eager to accept new opportunities
Adept at building partnerships and working to meet shared objectives and goals
Able to utilize a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insights into personal strengths and weaknesses

You Have:

1-3 years of related experience within the healthcare field
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Superb communication skills;

Hours:

Monday – Friday: 9 am - 5 pm, 2-3 days hybrid

Pay Range $21.59-$27.70
