We are looking for a senior Account Executive located in Germany to drive new business sales efforts for the company with a focus in the DACH territory. We are interested in finding a motivated Sales Professional to help build long term relationships with our customers and partners.
This role requires a tenacious, intelligent salesperson who can think on their feet and interact in a consultative fashion with the Development and Operations/IT organisation within the enterprise. The Account Executive is responsible for territory development, prospect qualification, proposing and closing sales prospects for Aerospike products and services. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is biased toward action and has prior experience selling database solutions to the enterprise with specific vertical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Source, develop and close new business opportunities to regularly exceed quarterly sales goals
- Negotiate complex renewal contracts
- Develop and execute a best practices approach to territory planning and management
- Build an intimate understanding of Aerospike's products & value proposition and the competitive market place
- Educate customers on the entire Aerospike product and services portfolio
- Build and maintain successful relationships with key contacts at our customer accounts
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Effectively leverage internal resources to help maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and address any potential customer issues
- Provide timely and actionable insight back into the broader organization including Sales Leadership, Field Sales, Product Management and Marketing
- Maintain an accurate forecast and opportunity management within salesforce.com
- Comfortable managing many accounts and projects
Essential Experience - details of which you will need to submit with your application:
- Quota over achievement for at least 3 of the last 5 years within a new business environment
- Customer Success; examples of organisations where you have demonstrated success
- Database and emerging technology knowledge
Other Required experience/skills
- Experience closing complex, six figure business transactions with multiple approval levels
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience interacting with the business and procurement sides of large organizations
- Extensive understanding of the Financial Services sector is preferred
- Solutions sales mentality with a strong focus on customer success
- Strong organizational skills
- Comfortable interacting with the C-Suite and closing six figure transactions
- Strong forecast accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a high growth, rapidly changing environment
- Salesforce.com experience preferred or equivalent systems experience
- Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as contribute to a team
- Ability to multi-task and to quickly change pace aton a moment's notice in a high growth environment
- High level of accountability; willing to take ownership and solve problems

Qualifications:
- Fluent in English & German to business level
- 7+ years in a Sales and/or Account Management role in Enterprise Software
- Education: MBA degree or equivalent experience
- Experience driving technology adoption with customers
- Fluent in current technology sales for hardware, software and/or cloud
- Comfortable managing many accounts and projects
