DKC's Healthcare and Medical Team is seeking smart, energetic, communications and media relations experts to join the firm’s growing healthcare practice.
The ideal candidates will have 3 - 7 years of experience working at a PR agency with a background in healthcare, non-profit healthcare delivery systems, healthcare advocacy, and/or academic medical centers.
They’ll come equipped with strong media contacts, extensive experience in client relations, a proven track record in media relations, excellent writing skills, and strong attention to detail.
They will be comfortable working on teams in a shifting, fast-paced environment, and they will be quick studies across a variety of topical issues.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Must excel at sophisticated media relations, demonstrate an ability to help create strategic plans and be an effective leader of teams. This is an exciting role tasked with managing the multiple responsibilities of generating meaningful publicity, handling increasingly complex writing assignments, and participating in strategic development sessions for clients.
Specific requirements are as follows:
Strategy:
-Must be able to offer senior DKC staff and - where appropriate - the client opinion and direction during the development of strategic plans, communications programs, etc.
Writing:
Media Relations/Publicity:
-Must be able to implement – with significant autonomy outside of regularly scheduled meetings - impactful publicity with the frequency to accomplish the client’s strategic imperatives/business objectives.

The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience: $80k - $105k.
