Accountant 1

We are looking for an Accountant 1 to join our dynamic team in Chandler, AZ. This opportunity requires a highly-driven, motivated professional with a passion for accounting or finance. The ideal candidate is a team player and is extremely detailed oriented. The right professional will be able to work on their own and have excellent problem-solving skills. This role will be heavily involved in Accounts Receivable tasks including, but are not limited to, invoicing, aging reports, and analysis.

Essential Functions:

• Performs the Customer billing/invoicing process with accuracy
• Works with sales to ensure billing/invoicing accuracy
• Performs application of cash receipts and confirms payments match invoices
• Performs Accounts Receivable Aging analysis and works with sales team to resolve issues
• Provides answers to all internal and external job-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner while maintaining positive relationships
• Assists with and performs month/year-end closing and reporting
• Deposit checks through our remote deposit to bank
• Post check, credit card and ACH payments to customer accounts
• Maintains, reconciles, reviews, combines, and validates financial data sets and accounts utilizing financial reports, financial data bases, and key financial information
• Monthly Customer Billings as needed
• Working closely with team members to accomplish duties

Education/Relevant Work Experience:

• 3 to 5 years’ experience within an accounting department, preferably with-in a mid-sized company

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Professional experience in accounts receivable capacities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Salesforce experience desirable but not mandatory
• Oracle NetSuite experience desirable but not mandatory
• Excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of reports
• Maintain an important level of confidentiality, professionalism, and accountability
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities and can meet deadlines
• Background check and pre-employment drug screening is required

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
