Our Corporate Accounting department is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven Accounting Analyst to join the team! As a key member of our collaborative and experienced accounting team, the ideal candidate must be well versed in transactional accounting and accounts payable processing. This is a full-time position based in our West Los Angeles office, reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager.


Job Description
  • Perform month-end close activities including preparing and posting journal entries, analyzing variances, and drawing conclusions from available data.
  • Assist in completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations; implement follow up action plans for resolution to reconciling items.
  • Prepare and analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy and completion, and provide variance explanations.
  • Work closely with various departments to resolve any issues that arise surrounding job responsibilities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and best practices within business units to drive efficiency.
  • Assist in special projects and ad hoc requests such as supporting the year-end audit, internal financial reporting, compliance initiatives, and tax filings.
  • Be willing to learn different areas of the Corporate Accounting department in order to serve as back up as needed.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls.
  • High proficiency on Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective multitasking and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Major ERP system experience, preferably Oracle.
  • Experience with internal and external auditors.
  • CPA or CPA candidate.

Pay Range: $36.60 - $38.46 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
