Accounting Assistant

Responsible for assisting with all accounting functions and department administration within the Office of the Controller.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Assisting all departments within the Controller’s organization including General Accounting, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Tax. Tasks include but not limited to managing journal entry and posting, internal service deliveries, audit integration feeds into the general ledger, daily deposits of incoming checks, payroll inquiries, facilitating all transactions incoming from outside departments to ensure a timely period close.
  • Projects as assigned by Controller or other departmental directors.
  • Assist with general office administrative duties including but not limited to office supply inventory and order supplies as needed, enetering facilities service requests as needed, sort and distribute mail, direct incoming calls.
  • Review and update Office of the Controller website as needed.
  • Assist with the review and update departmental Emergency Preparedness Plan on an annual basis.
Requirements Include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance or applicable experience
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience required in area of expertise
  • Higher education Workday finance experience desired
  • Organized and detail oriented

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
