Accounting Clerk

Our client, a local manufacturing company is looking to add a highly qualified accounting clerk to support the daily operations of the finance team. The ideal candidate has a natural passion for math. This position is a direct hire position but it is not a hybrid or remote opportunity. QuickBooks experience is required.

This is a great opportunity for someone earlier in the Finance/Accounting career.

Objectives

• Perform routine clerical accounting duties while adhering to established standards
• Assist in the accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Assist with year-end audit requests
• Secure financial information and maintain strict confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Verify and post details about business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and total accounts to ledgers and databases
• Prepare internal and external financial statements
• Analyze information from general ledger system
• Review and balance internal accounts
• Analyze variances, prepare reports, and monitor depreciable assets
• Match, batch, and code vendor invoices
• Office management

Required
Proficiency in QuickBooks

Education
Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting preferred

Skills

• Basic knowledge of financial, tax, and accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with math

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
