Position Information:
The Accounts Payable Representative in Accounts Payable is responsible for payment processing of all WakeMed liabilities (approx $515 million/year) in a manner that maximizes the organization's cash flow; the accurate posting of expenses; and all problem resolution and follow-up related to WakeMed vendor obligations. This position plays a crucial role in establishing, maintaining, and enhancing vendor relationships through regular contact with the vendor's sales and accounts receivable representatives, education about the services and supplies provided by the vendor, and knowledge of the vendor's process for handling discrepancies. The ensuing relationship becomes a key factor in problem resolution and negotiations with the vendor when billing/payment discrepancies result in service charges.
Experience Requirements:
4 Years Accounting/Finance - Accounts Payable Required - In Healthcare Preferred
Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And Associate's Degree Related Field Preferred
