Acentra is looking for a Health Care Project Manager (Remote U.S.) to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The Health Care Project Manager's role is to manage the end-to-end process for a single software product or multiple products and business process services. The Project Manager works with customers, functional and matrix managers, and staff to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, consistent with defined Acentra Health guidelines and processes, and with client expectations. The selected candidate will be a Program/Project Management team member and report directly to Program Delivery Leadership.
Acentra Health supports a high-volume healthcare data system accessed through multiple web portals. This high-volume system operates out of multiple data centers and must reliably be available to its clients 7x24x365.
Project Management:
- Oversees one or more software products end-to-end and assists in the direction of project-level activity and associated team personnel.
- Works under general supervision
- Maintains relationship with the client; project scope can increase in complexity and size.
- Manages client relationships at the client customer work site.
- Provides project management for prime or sub-contractor, fixed price, or time and materials projects.
- Provides project management on projects with a concurrent team of up to one hundred employees.
- Works with other project teams to secure resources and ensure appropriately staffed projects.
- Provides project management on projects with an annual total contract value of up to $50M.
- Develop project Statement of Work (SOW) and ensure projects are appropriately staffed.
- Provides end-to-end responsibility for one or more products, sub-systems, or level responsibilities.
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
- Manages project risk by working with project schedulers to track project schedules, deliverables, and milestones and monitors costs and schedules.
- Oversees and develops a feasible plan for one or more software products that achieves the goals and objectives of the project and aligns with the organization’s overall business strategy.

- Determines project scope and recommends and assigns resources as available.
- Determines estimated time and financial commitment to the project and monitoring progress.
General:
- Implements, maintains, and reports Earned Value (EV) metrics into project plans.
- Implements, maintains, and reports Acentra Health project delivery metrics into project plans.
- Assists in monitoring and developing a project budget and tracking actual spending compared to the planned budget, escalating to senior leadership as needed.
Customer:
- Partners with customers and their analyses of issues and problems from the customer's perspective.
- Provides customer-facing presentations on quality.
- Communicates and provides status to define, schedule, and accurately estimate the task duration for the project schedule.
- Possesses unwavering commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
- Keeps abreast of new technology and market developments.
- Adheres to Acentra Health CMMI standards and ITIL processes.
- Manages internal customer relationships for long-term corporate success.
Talent Development:
- Requests and gives both negative and positive feedback.
- Recruits highly skilled, motivated leaders and individual contributors and recommends potential new hire resources to meet client commitments in alignment with program delivery.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with up to ten years of relevant experience in project planning, delivery, and management with preferred Majors: Business, Science, Mathematics, or Analytics.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in the government or commercial healthcare industry.
- Domain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare verticals.
- Understanding of SharePoint applications, Webex, Teams, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio with a working knowledge of the rest of the applications in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- General understanding of role-relevant issues and trends.
- Ability to manage people, projects, and processes.
- Strong understanding of project management skills and ability to create and manage project plans.
- Ability to meet and enforce deadlines, research technology issues and products, and take initiative in developing and completing projects.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills.
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, facilitation) with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Strong at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Self-motivated and able to balance multiple projects under minimal to no supervision.
- Strong people management skills.
- Demonstrates leadership skills and ability to collaborate directly and in a matrix environment with different teams and contributors.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $70,458-118,000 annually.
