Acquisition and Fielding Specialist (Army Logistics)

COLSA is in search of a lead acquisition specialist who can work independently supporting special projects in all areas of fielding low production systems! Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

• Provide a range of technical and consultative services to assist the customer in effectiveness and efficiency of operations, resources and programs.*
• Create and implement material release plans.*
• Develop life cycle support plans for low production rate systems. *
• Develop and deliver technical briefings and reports.*
• Plans, schedules and coordinates special activities as needed*
• May work within specialized military databases to review reports and manage data
• Performs advanced logistics support analyses.
• Analyzes complex contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.
• Controls the flow of assets, services, and information between point of origin through receipt in order to meet customer requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience.
• Familiarity with Materiel Fielding requirements governed by AR 700-2
• Experience fielding one or more Army platforms to gaining unit(s) to include property transfer
• Experience developing, delivering and/or experience reviewing at the strategic level documents such as: Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Materiel Fielding documentation, Materiel Release documentation, Soldier Operator Procedures and/or Technical Publications
• Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing and spreadsheets.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret DoD clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing short, intermediate, and long term sustainment strategies for low density, rapid acquisition and/or prototype programs
• Experience with Type Classification and Materiel Release.
• Familiarity with GCSS-A and/or LMP
• Experience reviewing contract proposals regarding Logistics/Sustainment scope
• TS/SCI DoD clearance
