Action is seeking a full-time Building Engineer 1 to join our team at Daniel Burnham Court located in San Francisco.


What You'll Do (Job Duties)
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs in common areas, ensuring compliance with HOA governing documents.
  • Manage daily building operations, ensuring adherence to HOA policies and regulatory standards.
  • Optimize the performance of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC.
  • Coordinate and supervise work with the onsite maintenance team and external contractors for building maintenance and repairs.
  • Responsible for hiring, training and developing onsite maintenance team
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance to extend the life of building systems.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on improvements and modifications to building systems.


Who You Are (Skills / Experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of onsite high-rise or mid-rise building engineer experience, preferably in property management, hospitality, or commercial property management.
  • Familiar with the Uniform Commercial Building Code
  • HOA experience is a plus
  • Hands on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting experience.
  • Fire system management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Team player attitude
  • Must be available by cell phone 24/7 for emergencies

  • Certifications/Licenses:
  • HVAC Certification
  • EPA/608 License
  • Fire Pump Certificate preferred
  • Fire Life Safety Director Certificate preferred
  • Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance


$45 - $51 an hour
Must be available on-call for after hour emergencies
