This is a full-time OR on-call role based on the client’s needs. Only candidates with proficiency in Gorgias will be considered. Please ensure you have experience using this tool before applying.

Job Title: Customer Service Representative - remote

Schedule: US Business Hours 

  • 4-month contract – could be full-time or on-call depending on the client’s needs.
  • Hourly Rate: $4-5/hour, depending on experience.
  • Selected full-time candidates (8 hours per day) and on-call candidates (4 hours per day) may work beyond this duration depending on the client’s requirements.

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional support to our customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries through email, phone, and chat.
  • Assist customers with product information, order status updates, and general inquiries.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues with empathy, professionalism, and efficiency.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in line with company policies.
  • Document customer interactions and escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Simple Modern’s products and stay up-to-date with new releases.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement in customer service processes.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by participating in team meetings and sharing customer feedback.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to handle challenging situations with patience and tact.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with customer service software and tools (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for helping others.
  • Experience working with remote teams.
  • Experience with Gorgias is a must
