Summary of the Role:

The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving both outbound and inbound lead generation strategies while managing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) focused on the recruitment industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the recruitment landscape, and the ability to effectively blend outbound and inbound approaches to maximize lead conversion. The ideal candidate will have experience in identifying, nurturing, and converting leads through multiple channels, developing sales strategies, and coaching a team to achieve their targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Develop and execute comprehensive lead generation strategies that include both outbound (e.g., cold calling, email outreach, social selling) and inbound (e.g., content marketing, SEO, PPC) tactics to identify and attract potential clients.
  • Team Management: As the team eventually grows, this person will manage, mentor, and motivate a team of BDRs, ensuring they meet or exceed their individual and team targets.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine sales strategies that align with company goals, incorporating both outbound and inbound methods.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified leads from both outbound and inbound sources for the sales team.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze performance metrics, using insights to optimize both outbound and inbound processes and improve outcomes.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development for the SDR team, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in both outbound and inbound lead generation.
  • Client Outreach: Engage with potential clients through various channels (e.g., email, phone, social media, and inbound leads) to build relationships and generate interest in our services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align lead generation efforts with marketing campaigns and initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of inbound and outbound strategies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on lead generation activities, team performance, and market trends, covering both outbound and inbound strategies

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales development or business development, with a focus on both outbound and inbound lead generation. At least 2 years of experience in the recruitment industry.
  • Leadership: Proven experience managing a sales development or business development team.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of the recruitment process, industry trends, and the challenges faced by recruitment professionals.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Tools: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales automation tools. Experience with inbound marketing tools and platforms is a plus.
  • Mindset: Results-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment. We need someone who can hit the ground running and has the ability to expand our business.
