We are seeking a forward-thinking and creative Social Media Editorial Manager and Content Creator to join the dynamic team. Job Summary:
The Social Media Editorial Manager and Content Creator will oversee and execute our social media content strategy. This role involves managing the editorial calendar, creating compelling content, and ensuring alignment with our brand’s goals and voice. The ideal candidate will have strong foresight in setting and achieving social media objectives, proficiency in Airtable, and a deep understanding of US cultural context.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Develop and produce high-quality, engaging content for social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
Create a variety of content types, including text, images, videos, and graphics, ensuring they are aligned with our brand’s voice and strategy.
Editorial Calendar Management:
Own and maintain the editorial calendar, ensuring timely and strategic publication of content.
Plan and schedule content to align with key dates, campaigns, and brand initiatives.
Collaborate with team members to ensure content supports broader marketing and communication strategies.
Strategic Planning and Goal Setting:
Think ahead to anticipate trends and opportunities for engaging content and social media growth.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve social media goals, including increasing brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth.
Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.
Proficiency in Airtable:
Utilize Airtable to manage content workflows, track progress, and collaborate with team members.
Maintain organized records of content plans, schedules, and performance data.
US Cultural Context:
Apply a deep understanding of US cultural trends and consumer behavior to create relevant and resonant content.
Stay updated on social media trends and cultural shifts to keep content fresh and engaging.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the marketing and design teams to ensure cohesive messaging and visual consistency.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align content efforts with overall brand goals.
Additional Duties:
Analyze social media performance data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
Manage social media interactions and engage with followers to build a strong online community.
Handle any ad hoc content creation or social media tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in social media management and content creation.
Proven track record of managing editorial calendars and creating compelling content.
Proficiency in Airtable or similar project management tools.
Strong understanding of US cultural trends and social media dynamics.
Exceptional writing, editing, and creative skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote or nearshore setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
