We are looking for a proactive Amazon Product Development Coordinator to support our product development and e-commerce teams in driving success on the Amazon platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to identify market trends, ensure smooth product development, and optimize product performance. This role requires strong organizational skills, experience in e-commerce, and knowledge of Amazon operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Amazon-Focused Project Coordination:
- Work closely with the product development team to manage Amazon-specific projects and initiatives.
- Align with marketing, sales, and operational teams to ensure seamless execution of Amazon campaigns and product launches.
- Market Research & Product Trend Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and potential product opportunities in the haircare and beauty categories.
- Evaluate competitor offerings to identify gaps and recommend new product opportunities that align with the company's catalog and brand vision.
- Product Development & Logistics Coordination:
- Partner with factories, suppliers, and logistics teams to manage timelines, production, and delivery for new and existing products.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and are delivered to fulfillment centers on time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical or production issues that could impact inventory or availability.
- Optimization of Product Detail Pages (PDPs):
- Collaborate with the catalog team to ensure product detail pages are optimized for success on Amazon, focusing on high-quality content, imagery, and SEO-friendly descriptions.
- Monitor and update product listings to reflect accurate information and enhance customer engagement.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Track product performance metrics on Amazon, including sales velocity, conversion rates, and customer reviews.
- Provide insights to the product development and catalog teams to improve product offerings and optimize listings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between the product development, marketing, and logistics teams to align efforts and ensure seamless execution of Amazon-related projects.
- Communicate updates, timelines, and deliverables effectively to all stakeholders.
- Proven experience in e-commerce, Amazon marketplace operations, or product development (experience in haircare or beauty is a plus).
- Strong understanding of Amazon's platform, including product listings, fulfillment processes, and performance metrics.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of market research techniques and data analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Familiarity with tools like Seller Central, Helium 10, or Jungle Scout for product research and optimization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
