We’re looking for a talented Actuarial Analyst who is eager to revolutionize homeowners insurance.

You manage rate levels, build advanced pricing tools, and bring actuarial discipline to all facets of Lemonade Home—from distribution to underwriting, claims, and everything in between. You’ll also leverage competitive data and data science to optimize our customers’ experience and ensure fairness and accuracy in pricing.

The starting base range for this position is between $65K and $90K per year. Base pay is one component of Lemonade's total compensation package, which will also include equity in the form of RSUs, access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan with company match, robust PTO, parental leave, and more.

In this role you’ll

• Become an owner and expert on our home insurance state rating plans and rate indications
• Craft rate filing support for innovative pricing techniques and new machine-learning models
• Identify areas for pricing and underwriting action based on ongoing monitoring of results
• Build a knowledge base of competitor rating strategies and the overall competitive landscape
• Further your own actuarial education through CAS exams and industry research while applying those learnings on the job

What you'll need

• 2+ CAS actuarial exams
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• General knowledge of data science programming languages such as R or Python (preferred), and proficiency in database query tools such as SQL
• Prior personal lines pricing experience is a definite advantage
• Ability to work in an office environment
