We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Controller to join our growing team. This role is crucial in supporting our financial operations and contributing to our mission of driving a sustainable future. The Assistant Controller will assist in budgeting, forecasting, and corporate reporting while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Key Responsibilities:• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.• Oversee capital expenditures and fixed asset accounting.• Prepare and analyze monthly and year-end financial statements.• Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and the monthly close process.• Monitor project expenditures and assist with Work in Process (WIP) reporting.• Support the Controller in maintaining compliance with internal and governmental regulations.• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.• Assist with audit preparation and perform internal audits as needed.• Oversee project billing and ensure accurate and timely reporting.• Maintain critical licensing requirements and manage tax reporting.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required• CPA Required• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on public or corporate accounting.• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606; experience in construction accounting is a plus.• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, with strong communication skills.• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
